Salvation for the Meek
Focus: Psalms 149:4 - KJV
4. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
When someone is gentle, quiet and easily imposed on, or submissive, the Lord takes pleasure in such. Those are clear attributes of the people of God. The Spirit of God is actually a gentle Spirit. The most apt illustration of how the Lord beautifies such with salvation is found in the story of Daniel. The young lad was focused on serving his God no matter what. Those who sought to hurt him looked for an occasion to hold him for some error but did not find. They however made the king to make a law that they were certain Daniel would flout as it was against his serving the true God. He was arrested for refusing to offend his God in forfeiting praying to his God. For this he was sentenced to banishment in the lions’ den. But the man came out unhurt because God beautified him with salvation. When we decide for God and not the enemy, the Lord Himself reciprocates by standing by us.
Beloved, no matter the attempts by the enemy to put you under, once you remain meek and will not avenge yourself, the Lord will beautify you with salvation. Like He saved Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego, He will also come through for you to the chagrin of the enemy. That which seems insurmountable will soon give way by the power of God if you will not compromise in being God’s person.
SOLUTION: No matter what the enemy hauls at you, put your trust in the Lord and do not yield to the shenanigans of the enemy. Stand firm and await the salvation of the Lord.
This day, the Lord will fight for you and you will hold your peace in Jesus’ name. No matter the arsenal of the enemy, the Lord will make it easy for you to overcome in Jesus’ name. The flood of the world will never overwhelm you; neither will the flame of the world kindle you in Jesus’ name. The Lord will beautify you with salvation to the shame of the enemy in Jesus’ mighty name.
