Serve God acceptably

Focus: Hebrews 12:28-29 - KJV

28. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29. For our God is a consuming fire.

1 Samuel 2:12-17

When we claim to have forsaken sin, we ought to forsake it completely. There is no vacuum in the spirit realm. It is either we are of the Lord or we are not. There is no midway. Those who have surrendered to Christ have been given a Kingdom reserved for those who love God and God is the Head of that Kingdom. Because God will not behold iniquity, the same is forbidden in that Kingdom. Hence, everyone thereat is expected to serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. God had made for us an example in the sons of Eli. They had been separated unto the Lord being raised to the position of priesthood. They were meant to be shining examples to others of reverential service of God and godly fear. However, they did abominable things before God and against the people that brought a sacrifice apathy among the people. And because God is a Consuming Fire, He sits in judgment at all times even though by His mercy judgment is delayed for many, He moved against the sons of Eli and they both died same day. Wherefore it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

In this day and age, many have neither learnt from the case of the sons of Eli, nor that of Ananias and Sapphira. Some are put in charge of common parish purse and they divert the funds to their use to the knowledge of the congregants whereof the size of the purse is on a critical nose dive. If we are of God, shouldn’t we take the special grace offered us to be in the Lord’s Kingdom and make the best use of it by operating as a kingdom citizen should? Enough of the lukewarm attitude! God is particularly unhappy with those that are neither cold nor hot. If therefore you want to be of the Kingdom, from today, please serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear and let the difference be clear between those that are of God and they that are not.

SOLUTION: Friendship with the world is enmity with God. Live by the principles of God and retain your Kingdom citizenship. Doing otherwise is to risk being spued out by the Consuming Fire.

The power that sustained Christ in acceptable service of the Father will sustain you in the same to the end in Jesus name. You will never have cause to be spued out of the Kingdom ever in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Whatever the Lord must do to make you succeed to the very end He will do for your sake in Jesus’ name. Welcome!
