Shine The Light

Focus: Psalms 43:3 - KJV

3. O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

2 Corinthians 4:1-6

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life, as well as the Light of the world. Although David came into the world before Him, David realized that the way to the holy hill of God and His tabernacle had been clogged with darkness; and that unless and until the Lord sends out His light and truth, there is no accessing the hill as those who walk in darkness get nowhere. The request of David in the Psalms, has been delivered by the Lord through the giving of our Lord Jesus Christ. As if responding to that request, Christ asserts that He is the Truth and the Light; no one gets to the father except through Him. Of course, the Father dwells on the holy hill called Zion and He tabernacles amongst the people of light. If therefore, we allow Christ the Light to lead us, He it is, that knows the Father and can present Him to us with a holy kiss, as against the kiss of betrayal from Judas Iscariot.

We must understand that religiosity will never give us access to the father. Please listen to Nicodemus’ testimony in this regard: he was a ruler of the Jews; he was seen as someone who knew God. But when he saw Jesus the Light, and the brightness that proceeded from Him, he humbled himself before Jesus, acknowledging His closeness to God. He sought the Light and Christ showed him the way to the holy hill of God and His tabernacle. Other Jewish leaders saw the same light and rather than follow Him unto God, they decided to extinguish the light and they had themselves to blame for that folly. If we surrender to Jesus, He would lead us to God; if we refuse to, then there is no headway in darkness, except groping continually.

Friends, the Lord Jesus Christ has made all those who believe, the light of the world. We are meant now to present the way to the holy hill, and God’s tabernacle, to everyone in darkness, who desires, like David, to find the Lord. We however, cannot achieve that if we refuse to shine our light for those in darkness to be attracted to it. Exhibiting issues of darkness can never be a way to winning others out of it. Hiding the light under a bushel, cannot either. Our good works and deliberate acts of evangelism will. There are so many still out there, like David, seeking the light to their paths, so as to access the holy hill. The truth is found glaringly all over the Bible. Let us therefore, as Christ’s ambassadors, shine the light, by expounding to others, the truth of the Gospel.

SOLUTION: Many are crying to God to send His Light. He already did through Jesus Christ. And like He sent Jesus, He has in turn sent us as His representatives in this regard. Let us therefore, with passion, shine the light for all to see, and be drawn to the holy hill of God.

Please pray: Father, as you choose those to use for the purpose of your Kingdom, please find me worthy; equip me with the Holy Spirit that your light may radiate through me better than ever for the salvation of souls, in the name of Jesus Christ. Do make my evangelistic drive worthwhile, thereby directing many to your holy hill, in Jesus’ name.

Kindly share with others if you have been blessed by this Guide. God bless you as you do so, in Jesus' name.
