49. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
John 12:44-50
Happy New Month, dearly beloved. In this fifth month of the year, may the grace of God be multiplied upon each and every one of us from this day, in Jesus’ name. On this glorious day, the word of God is brought to the very fore unto us. There are many scriptural books and assertions ascribed to God. But there is one who said boldly that as the Son of God, He is never like the other messengers. There is no word He said to us of Himself but that which He heard the father say. In other words, many have said things to us that are not from God, even though they claimed it was of the Lord.
There was a woman who was said to be caught in adultery. By Moses, the Lord would that the same be stoned to death as well as her partner in sin. But our God who knows the hearts of men that it is desperately wicked could never have put the judgment of sin in the hands of men. Those who assailed the lady acted on hearsay and needed no verification to destroy her. When the one who speaks only the things God speaks encountered them, He did not even interrogate the lady accused, but exposed the hypocrisy of the assailants, showing indirectly that the injunction they had always believed was not of God.
Today, the Lord is saying to us all that, we should stop the misrepresentation of His person before the children of men. There are many today who lean so much on lies and teach lies thereby portraying God as who He is not. We are to focus on whatsoever Christ affirms of the old sayings, and what He Himself said to us as representing God, and not just fables from the pits of hell. Let us therefore be careful to check with God what He wants spoken to His people before going ahead to say it to them. He wants us to know that everything we say under the heavens will be judged in the end. So as not to fall into judgment, please say only those things God says.
Please pray:
Thank you, father for your word that is forever settled in heaven. As your representative on earth, do help me never to misrepresent you in my words to your people, in Jesus’ name. Let the words of my mouth always be as you release to me by your Spirit just like Christ spoke your truth only, in Jesus’ name. Make this day a beginning of great grace in my life such that I will never say things you do not say again, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
