The Effective Decree

Focus: Job 22:27-29 KJV: Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

The place of the believer, by the diary of God, is for God’s light to shine upon the ways of the believer. But there are preconditions for that to happen. When we humble ourselves before God, to pray unto God, having first fulfilled our vows, then, our prayers gain authority. What we decree in faith aligns with His will and is established. Even in dark times, we become a beacon of hope, declaring "there is lifting up" over those who are cast down and it happens. Of a truth, we are not meant to go through the casting down.

Elijah boldly decreed to King Ahab that there would be no rain except by his word, and God established it. Also, in the depth of a severe famine, he prayed over a widow's dead son, declaring life back into him, and God saved the boy. At his word and decree, a three-and-a-half-year famine was brought to a halt by the outpouring of an abundance of rain.

A humble believer's prayer can shift the atmosphere of an entire nation. The Lord is beckoning on us today, to do the needful and begin to experience instant performance of our prayers, prophesies and decrees. None fulfilment of our vows is like taking the Lord for a ride. A refusal to pray is tantamount to a haughty heart. If only we can amend our ways today, then shall we begin to experience God’s lifting even when all seem to be facing a casting down.

Prayer:

Lord, I have no one but you. Even now, it is only unto you that my prayers are directed. Please let my requests meet with your will. From now, let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight. Back up every of my decrees with performance that the entire world may see you in me, and do not let me ever experience a casting down again, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
