The Kingdom Of God

ree

Focus: Romans 14:17 - KJV

17. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Romans 14:13-17

The kingdom of God is not measured by the extent of wealth a man possesses or the kind of meat on his table or the raiment he puts on. In actual fact, even though it is not a sin to be wealthy in itself, it can become a sin if the same pushes others to sin. But the kingdom is depicted in the measure of righteousness, the extent of peace and the presence of the Holy Ghost a being carries. Those who bear the Holy Spirit in their bodies do so because they are submissive to the righteousness of Christ and as a result dwell in peace and exhume joy unspeakable. To assume wealth is approved of God and it is needed for the works of evangelism and therefore it is evidence of the Kingdom is to put people in the danger of the love of money in a bid to show forth “the kingdom” also. Christ Himself did say it will be easier for the Carmel to pass through the eye of the needle than for the rich man to enter into the Kingdom of heaven.

Peter and John were Christ’s Apostles and if wealth depicts the kingdom in the manner of dollars and pound sterling, they should have had so much to show. But when they met the unfortunate cripple at the beautiful gate who assumed he could be part of the kingdom by collecting from financial gifts, Peter told him silver nor gold they had none. They were not financially wealthy but kingdom wealthy. Through the Holy Spirit and the righteousness of Christ, they gave the cripple peace and joy, which they possessed as part of the Kingdom. When the Bible says Christ became poor that we may be rich, it referred not to gold and silver but to the fact that the King of glory set His glory aside that we may be brought into glory. It is never a basis for justifying financial wealth.

God is looking for genuine kingdom candidates to bestow greater manifestation of the kingdom on. These are not those who are obsessed with amassing wealth in the pretext of using it for church purposes but those who genuinely desire the power of the Holy Ghost through righteousness and would break yokes and burdens of darkness wherever they are found so as to bring about joy where it is not, and to put those in turmoil at peace by the operation of the kingdom, in the name of Jesus. As many as are available to God for His kingdom use shall start to manifest the traits thereof by the help of God. At any rate, even as they seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, it is settled by the Word that all other things including financial wealth shall be added unto it for them. Seek not wealth which may cause men to derail by your getting, but seek the kingdom of God and have wealth added to you legitimately.

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for making me a part of your Kingdom. From this day, please help me to keep focus on the major which is to seek your kingdom, in Jesus’ name. Let your kingdom be manifest unto me in righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, even as I continue to seek, in Jesus’ name. As I gain the kingdom, do please add unto me all the good things of life that will make life meaningful among men, in Jesus’ name. In all I do, please let not my wealth cause people to be derailed from following you, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
