Focus: Jeremiah 23:23-24 - KJV
23. Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? 24. Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
Psalms 139:7-12
Some people are full of wickedness and they engage in it because they do not so think there is truly a recompense for their actions. At times they engage in these acts hiding from men and seemingly from God. Meanwhile, there is nowhere to hide from the sight or reach of God. If because of His longsuffering the Lord has not decided to punctuate an evildoer in his acts, it is just so that peradventure he may repent and turn to righteousness. The one who made the eyes can see and He that crafted the ears can hear. Hence, it is no brainer for anyone to assume he can hide from the Lord’s reach in his misdeeds.
David was wise. He knew that there was not a place he could run to in hiding from God. He claimed if he went to hell beneath, the Lord has access to reach him, and even if he does run to heaven and hide there, he would be in the Lord’s full glare. Even in crass darkness, the Lord sees like it is well lit. He therefore concluded wisely, that there is nowhere to hide from the Lord and that it was better to rather do His will always.
The Lord is reminding us today that His eyes are everywhere and there is nothing that is hid unto Him. Now that we know that He is able to reach us wherever we may be, the counsel is for us to abstain from all unrighteousness and wrap righteousness around ourselves so as never to offend Him.

The eyes of the Lord will be upon you to bless and not to rebuke you in the name of Jesus. Wherever you need purging so as not to keep carrying the load of iniquity, the Lord Himself will purge you using the blood of Jesus today, in Jesus’ name.
