Focus: Psalms 62:7-8 - KJV
7. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
In the life of a man, there are times and seasons. There are times for positive happenings and there are times for negative occurences. The graph of life is never a straight curve. Even if we remain righteous, (even though what we call righteousness may be like filthy rags) we must know that there is a being who is on the prowl looking forever for whom to devour. From time to time, we may encounter him and have a bit of a downside. Now, since the way up is to go down, we must learn how to deal with such situations and circumstances. Anyone who must jump real high may need to start by scouting really low. Jesus Christ went down seven ways to be glorified in seven ways, we are taught. To build a sky scraper, the foundation must go down deep. Hence, to really experience and keep experiencing positivity in life, we must of necessity hide in God. He is our refuge against the influence of the wicked one. But God is not a busybody. He will not force a thing on an unwilling person. Bartimeus asked Him for mercy being a blind man. He went on to ask the blind what he wanted. Some may wonder why ask a blind man what he wanted. You may be blind and seek wealth or something else instead of sight. Therefore, even as we hide in Him, we need to pour our hearts as to the season we are going through, to Him, knowing that He controls times and seasons so that He may, in His mercy, redirect our seasons.
What is it you are going through that seems to be calling the existence of your God to question? Why not submit absolutely unto God as your Rock, Refuge and Strength to help you out of that situation. There is nothing too difficult for Him to do but He delights in those who trust in Him. You cannot claim you are praying to God and have your mind in some other process. It does not work that way. If it is that process you trust, stick with it and when you are done with the result, live by it. But if you make the true God your Salvation and Refuge, please stick with Him and when He comes through for you, the whole world will marvel at your rising. Bartimeus sought refuge in Him and trusted Him. With just one action, all his burdens were lifted. Your testimony will be very loud if you trust Him.
SOLUTION: Have faith in God for the just shall live by faith. Stop running from pillar to post to sources that do not glorify. Let your glory be from the Lord, Himself.
Daddy Lord, we declare you are our Salvation and Refuge. Please rescue us from every down turn that we may be in at this time in Jesus’ name. Because the name of the Lord is a strong tower, by the righteousness of Christ, we run into your name today for salvation and release from every negativity in Jesus’ name. Take us to the height from now, that we have not been able to attain ordinarily, by the reason of your power in our lives in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
