Seeing the Heavenly Glory

The Focus:  Acts 7:55: “But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.”

The Perspective: A Glimpse of the Eternal

True glory is not found in the sun, moon, or any earthly treasure; it belongs exclusively to God, the King of Glory. While life on earth is visible, there is a "far better" reality waiting on the other side. For the believer, this heavenly grandeur is not just a destination but a present source of strength that can make your earthly life blossom.

The Strategy: The Upward Gaze

Like Stephen, we are invited to look "stedfastly into heaven."

  • A Fulfilled Promise: Jesus is not just seated in rest; as Stephen saw, He is standing at the right hand of God, ready to receive and honor those who remain faithful to the end.

  • Access for the Just: This glory is inviting and enticing, reserved for those who, like Stephen, do the will of the Father even in the face of trial.

  • The Eternal Refuge: God has gone ahead to prepare a place of grandeur and pleasure for you. He cannot lie; what He has promised, He will bring to pass.

Prayer:

  • The Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the promise of Your eternal glory. In the name of Jesus, I receive a supernatural opening of my spiritual eyes to see Your majesty. Strengthen my decision to stay on Your side for all eternity. May the beauty of my heavenly home begin to make my earthly life blossom today, in Jesus’ name. Keep my feet from the path of destruction and my heart fixed on Your presence, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
