When God Seems Silent

Focus: Job 23:10 – KJV

10. But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

Job 23:8-12

Many times, in the life of man, particularly those with some affinity with God, it will appear God is silent regarding their ordeals, trials and temptations. At such times, the tendency is for the believer to be shaken to his marrow as to whether he has the right belief. Yet, God is not slack concerning His promises; but we are not patient enough to discover that all things work together for the good of them that love God, who are the called according to His purpose. When Jesus was led to the cross to be crucified, aside the things He told His disciples before the event, everywhere was silent and they had no clue what just happened. To them, Christ was too powerful than to be cheaply led to be hanged without much ado. In fact, Thomas could not fathom it even when he heard that Christ had risen. Despite all that he had heard Him say, he remained devastated still. Job was in a frenzy when the enemy sifted him like wheat. He wondered where he missed it that caused God to be distant from him so much. Yet, the Author of life had him covered.

It is already the eve of Christmas and to someone who believes he is on the side of God and yet all things appear gloomy. In fact, all the promises and high hopes that he started the year with appear to be dim right now as if God has turned His back. The still small voice is no longer coming like before, neither are there promising dreams nor vision. It seems the future is quite bleak. The Lord is saying today that He is never silent but that our anxieties and busy-ness have made us unable to hear Him. Nonetheless, He enjoins that anytime it so seems that His word is far, we should just pick up the word of God, which is the Holy Bible, and read with meditation and we will hear Him clearly. Job in his devastation refused to be separated from the words that came out of the mouth of his God. Soon after, he got succor from the Lord and was restored doubly for all that he had lost. If only we also will settle down and trust God for His word and promises, very soon indeed, we shall jump for joy as the Lord shall restore us from captivity.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for everyone that comes across this message, the Lord shall release upon you Christmas present that will put an end to all devastation. In every area that you have experienced a loss, the one who restored Job shall restore you in multiple fold in Jesus’ name. Everyone that had been mocking you, expecting you to have a bleak Christmas, shall gather to rejoice with you in this Yuletide season, in Jesus’ name. You will never regret relating with God in Jesus’ name. Before the new year shall come, God will announce your lifting for all to hear in Jesus’ name. And you will never know a down season again in Jesus’ name.

SOLUTION: Please do not fret; our God is faithful and His promises are, in Him, Yea and in Him, Amen. Put all anxiety aside and trust God for His promises. Be deliberate about studying the word for instruction, regularly.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
