Abide in Christ

Focus: John 15:2 KJV: Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

Read 2 Kings 3:13-15

Christ is the Builder of His Church. Every other person engaged in the building thereof are recruited of Him. There are those who pretend to be builders but are clearly agents of the enemy. No one can build the Church unless the same abides in Christ, and He in him. We cannot build with water flowing from a cistern outside of the Vine. Many are AI pastors today and all they tend to feed their congregants are not nutrients from the Vine but poison put together by technology. It can only result in zero fruit bearing.

Elisha was a powerful man of God who had received the double portion of the spirit upon Elijah. God spoke through, and used him at will without much ado. But one day, he stepped out of the Vine in anger and his source of nutrient ran immediately dry. He had kings before him seeking to be ministered to but could not minister until a minstrel was invited to reinvite the Vine, who then placed His hand on Elisha. The great man of God became an empty bully and barrel until he was restored to the Vine.

The Lord is calling every believer back home today. Reliance on anything outside of Christ for our walk with Christ is a ploy of the enemy to draw us out of our safe haven into a terrain that empties us of the true Vine. If we must be Christ’s true representatives, we must let Him alone remain our Source. Those who do are assured that the gates of hell can never prevail over them.

Prayer:

I love you, dear Lord for counting me among those who will live to declare your glory today. From now on, give me the strength to abide in you even as I let your word abide in me. Give me loaded daily dose of nutrients for your flock and help me to properly deliver. Never let any device take me away or take me out of you. Let my abiding begin to yield the fruit you desire of me, from now on and even for ever more, in Jesus’ name.
