Acknowledge God

Text: John 3:27

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

Read: Psalms 136:1-26

Somehow, there are only about two weeks to the end of the year 2020. During the year, many rivers went under the bridge. For months, there was lockdown all over the world; disasters causing death etc. Yet, God came through for us. During the lockdown, many should have died in droves of hunger and ill-health, yet God proved Himself.

This God is our Source. There is nothing we have or we are that did not proceed from Him. So many theories have been proven wrong. God remains constant. He rebuked kings for the sake of His anointed ones. He substituted others for the life of His dear children. When the enemy came seeking to devour His children, God rose in their defense personally. As there was indeed a casting down in the world, the children of God only saw a lifting up.

The year is running to its end. The life we have today was handed down to us from heaven. It costs God nothing if the whole world be wiped out in one fell swoop. Ask those that lived at the time of Noah. But for His mercy and loving kindness we are preserved. It is only a wicked person whom scriptures call a fool that will not acknowledge God in his circumstance. Whatever you think you are going through or might have gone through could have been worse, but for God.

Glorify God in the beauty of His holiness. Many are gone dear friend. Some in some inexplicable circumstances. Acknowledge God! He is the one responsible for your being. Honor Him in your affairs. Abstain from sin. Live henceforth a life pleasing to Him. For your surviving the pandemic is a testament to the fact that God has a great purpose for your life. Acknowledge Him in all ramification.

Pray:

Father, I appreciate you for all that I have and all that I am. Thank you for being my source. Please hold me permanently with your right hand of mercy and righteousness that I may be able to serve you to the very end in Jesus name.
