Focus: Romans 2:16 - KJV
16. In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
1 Corinthians 4:2-5
In times past, evil was something done under the cover of darkness, secretly. The evil doers have however found a way to up their games to the extent that they no longer care if they are seen or being observed when they are pulling their trade. One can properly assume that the men in Sodom and Gomorrah did not start their homosexualism in the open, but secretly until it got to the level where people could no longer be bothered by their actions. The evil in homosexualism of the day was exposed in Lot’s house, when, even though the act of sleeping with a woman one is not married to is criminal and sinful as it is considered a defilement, Lot was willing to offer his daughters to the homosexuals just to save the men in his company from being defiled by other men. Society today is back to that state of affairs as found in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Incidentally, the word of God affirms that Jesus Christ is coming to occupy His judgment seat to judge and reveal those things that men thought were done secretly. How much more do we think His judgment would be on those who commit sin openly and with reckless abandon? And what would His judgment be on them that support evil being done in the full glare of everyone? What is certain is that, according to the Gospel of Christ, everything that is done contrary to the will of God, whether done in the secret or with utter disregard unto God in the open, shall be brought to judgment. The unfortunate position is that at the time of judgment, there is no longer room for repentance, grace or mercy. It is either you are guilty or not. The people in Sodom had no opportunity to repent. They were all burnt up and reduced to ashes. Incidentally, since the Lord promised never to destroy the earth with flood again, it has been forecasted that it would likely be by fire. Now, global warming appears to be affirming that position. When the Lord would come to pour His wrath on sinners, whether secret or not, there will be no room for rethink.
Beloved, the coming of the Lord will be like the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, even as it will be like the days of Noah. The counsel of God to us is not to join the multitude to do evil. If Lot had condoned the acts of the men of Sodom at his time, he would not have escaped the wrath that came at the time. For us also to escape the wrath to come, we must not be in conformity with the rot in the planet as it is found today. It is of critical importance that we workout our salvation with fear and trembling as the day of the Lord’s judgment is clearly imminent. What the Lord seeks now is those who are on the side of righteousness, like Lot, to rescue from the wrath to come. Are you available for God to rescue? Then stop approving wickedness and evil. God does not approve such.
SOLUTION: Please stop accentuating evil as if it is good. The accentuator is not different from the primary sinner in any way. Flee therefore from all appearance of evil that the Lord may receive you.
Please pray: Father, please let your Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Do please rescue us from the prevalent fangs of wickedness upon the earth. When you come to collect your people, count us worthy of your rescue like you rescued Lot, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name.
