Allowing and Disallowing

Focus: Matthew 18:18 – 20 KJV

18. Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19. Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

Acts 3:1-8 particularly verse 4.

There is so much power in the name of Jesus to the extent that whatever we bind on earth in that name ought to be bound in heaven. There is greater potential to do much more when those binding or losing are more in number. For where there is darkness in a room and a candle is lit, it brings illumination. But the illumination is brighter as more candles are lit, particularly when they are bonded together. In the same vein, in spiritual matters, there are greater effects in the activities of Christians when they are bonded in love. Peter and John must have gone through the beautiful gate many times before the fateful day the lame was healed. At such prior times, they perhaps had not the Holy Spirit and did not come bonded as one as in the case on the day of the miracle. Nothing is difficult to achieve if we are together bond in love and desire a thing. Why then was it difficult to command a change in many things on earth since we had been praying? The Word of God is sacrosanct. The condition for performance is agreement. Peter and John agreed. But can we find agreement today between two people praying together even when they hold hands? While the one is concentrating on the need, the other is straying into something else and the Spirit of the Lord in their midst observes they are not together. Our desires can be strongly met if we will find occasion to agree. Nothing is beyond us when we agree.

No matter how difficult a situation may appear, you can stop it in one fell swoop if you believe. All you need do is command in the name of Jesus Christ. We have a more potent weapon in that name than Joshua had when he commanded the sun not to move. If we are not achieving similar things, it is that we lack faith. When you want greater effect, look for a righteous being and agree with concerning the matter. Please be sure the fellow has similar passion for the result like you. For if there is no agreement, the exercise may end up being futile. Take your position today. Move against that situation and it will yield.

SOLUTION: Shore up your faith believing that nothing is difficult for God to do; speak to that situation in the name of Jesus Christ; for greater effect, agree in the decree with one or two more persons. The effect will be very glorious.

Father, as we bind and lose today, please confirm the power in your Word through us in the name of Jesus. Please let every situation we allow today be allowed in Jesus’ name. And every situation we disallow, let them vanish into thin air in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Wherever you find agreement today, please let the effect be greater than that which happened at the beautiful gate through Peter and John in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Father, for letting your power show forth today; in Jesus’ name we have prayed.
