Focus: John 16:24 - KJV
24. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Philippians 2:5-11
The name of Jesus Christ has full capacity to open any shut door. It is honored in all realms. Hence, even before He went to the cross, knowing what glory awaited Him thereafter, He enjoined us to start asking in His name that our joy may be full. He did not contradict Himself in anyway by saying “ask till your joy be full”; He never said so, having said that we should not be repetitive in the place of prayer.
Those who ask in the name of Jesus, having been crucified with Him and living by Him, get instant answers and their joy is made full. Peter, who thought he was moribund and returned to fishing, when he was restored to faith, had no fear again as he asked the man at the beautiful gate to rise up and walk in Jesus’ name. When the cripple rose up limping, walking, jumping and praising God, it is sure that Peter had exceeding joy. No wonder he did more yet in the same name.
We too can start by hiding ourselves in Christ from today, away from the world, and begin to seek the joy of the Lord in fullness by praying in the name of Jesus Christ. A refusal to do so has robbed many of their joy in the past. Do so now and experience fullness of joy.
Please pray:
Father, thank you for revealing to me the potency in the name of Jesus Christ, which is the name above every other name. From this day, everything I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, please let them happen speedily. Even now, let the ground where I stay yield its prosperity to me from now on never to cease again, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Please share with others. God bless you.
