24. And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2 Timothy 2:20-26
The truth as it is, is very constant. There is no varying it. If something is true, no matter what any other person says, the truth remains. Hence, for everyone that will be God’s vessel in the drive to bring others into the Kingdom, the same must be gentle in all his position. He has no need to strive against anyone by the reason of the truth he carries. He has no need to engage in unnecessary arguments and heated debates that lead to strife and anger. If he fills his heart with the truth of God, the issues of life that will proceed from his heart will be plainly the truth. And where there are those that try to bring confusion and unnecessary rancor, by his meekness, the gentle vessel may be able to win their hearts over unto the Lord. Consider however, a person who claims to be of God but is always at loggerheads with others whether of the faith or otherwise. When he presents anything to the heathen, they are not likely to believe him because of his disposition and attitude. Hence, we should not let our demeanor push people away from the Kingdom rather than draw them to it.
Your countenance at work is a thing that most of your colleagues observe. Let not your meekness show only when you preach but in all your endeavor. That stern angry character or attitude is not of the Lord. Meekness may end up being the thing that makes you a vessel of gold and unto honor. Watch how you treat your contemporaries and more importantly, your subordinates on the job.
SOLUTION: The fruit of the Spirit is very key to our being useful to God. Put it on like a garment never to remove it. In your daily appearance, let it show.
The Lord will take away by His mercy, everything that pertains to strife and anger in our lives in Jesus’ name. He will cause the same to be far from us forever in Jesus’ name. God will make the light of His countenance shine on us to make us radiate His glory and thereby the fruit of the Spirit always in the name of Jesus Christ. Go and be gentle, always.
