6. And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
Isaiah 33:1-6
There are many people who thrive by spoiling others and deal treacherously with them. They fail to realize that it is when they stop to spoil others that they will be spoiled themselves and when they decide to desist from treachery that they will treacherously be dealt with. Life is simply about sowing and reaping: seeds are sown in a few but reaped in humongous fashion. Same is true for those who are spoilers – they sow little but reap plenty. But those who shall be wise and seek knowledge from the Lord shall be stabilized and operate in heavenly treasure with salvation.
Our God is faithful in judgment and sees the acts of every man. They that be spoilers are never stable in their ways and times. Though they mount for themselves treasures in iniquity, the same is wasted when the time of spoiling them in return comes. Those who are wise do fear their Lord and they are preserved in treasure, in that when they call upon the Lord in their trouble, He saves them in their perils and stabilizes them in their times. Many were the lieutenants of Saul who were contented with spoiling David before the king. But David had salvation in the wisdom and knowledge of his Lord and the fear of the Lord was his treasure such that the king was unable to hurt him despite all odds.
The Lord wants us to acquire wisdom and knowledge of Him even as we abstain from the wickedness of the world which makes men want to spoil their neighbors. The time of life is so short that when time catches up with the evildoer, he no longer possesses the strength to wriggle out of the consequences of the treachery he committed in his early days. When we seek God as we fear Him, then do we save up treasures for our future when feebleness will appear, and we are still able to thrive in good health and standing.
Please pray:
Father, thank you for the opportunity to realize that it is not wise to spoil others or treat them treacherously in life. Whoever I have so dealt with in the past, please forgive and cleanse me of the guilt in Jesus’ name. Please do not let the consequences of spoiling another or dealing treacherously with anyone, catch up with me dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. From today, let the benefit of the wisdom and knowledge acquired from fearing you, become my great treasure, Lord, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
