Focus: Matthew 6:26 - KJV
26. Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Luke 12:22-31
When we refuse to give our platforms or substances, it often times emanate from the fear of the morrow. Many would assume it may be difficult to replace or replenish what we had let go. Becoming anxious about the morrow is ordinarily a lack of faith in God, which, in the lay man’s parlance, is calling God a liar. God provides for all His creatures. Some creatures feed others unknowingly, in their daily activities. For instance, while the bugs are taking nectar from flowers, they cross pollinate others and through it, they reproduce and blossom. The birds of the air, though they do not dig anywhere to plant, water and then harvest, yet, they have abundant provisions to glean from. Their needs are met by the Creator. They are never anxious about what to feed on, or how the morrow would be.
However, of all the creatures God has, we are the most favored and cared for in that God loves us more, as He made us in His own image and likeness. Unlike the other creatures, even though man is adjudged to possess a heart that is desperately wicked, God still loves him so, and decided to give His only begotten Son, for his ransom. What then will God not give to such a being to keep him in good stead? Nevertheless, whenever it appears man is in lack, it is because he has strayed away from the presence of His provider, and one of the ways this is done is in calling Him a liar. When we do, He withdraws Himself and allows us to sort ourselves. Meanwhile, without Him, we can do nothing. So, withholding from God or His purpose, pushes man into hardship in one way or the other. To please God and be endowed by Him is to believe that He is, and very true to His promises, as He rewards those that diligently seek Him. Seeking Him is seeking His kingdom rather than those things that do not glorify.
Beloved, agreeing to leave Egypt and going back to the land of promise was a way of Israel affirming the existence and truth about God. When they did, He gave them two meals a day for forty years, and brought them into ready made provisions after. What we need to achieve goodness in life is with the Lord and He is willing to give us. We must however seek the Kingdom and not necessarily those things that we assume are our needs. God knows better, what we need per time. That which we therefore pursue, that appears to always elude us, may be happening because we have jettisoned the most essential pursuit. Let not the worldly gains take your focus at any time; rather, give your life and living to God to use as His platform to reach others and He will surprise you, pleasantly.
SOLUTION: It is in seeking first the Lord and His Kingdom that blessings lie. His promise is to release those other things to seek us. It is happening to many. Give it a thought and a shot. You won’t regret it.
Please pray: Father, please help me to be more focused on you and the Kingdom in all my endeavors, that I may hold you as the true God and not a liar, in Jesus’ name. In all I do, please let blessings pursue and locate me daily to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name.
If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
