The Fore Runner

ree

Focus: Luke 1:17 - KJV

17. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

Malachi 3:1-4

God, through the prophets, had predicted the coming of the Lord as Messiah with the coming first of a fore runner who will achieve the establishment of the semblance of righteousness in the land before the eventual appearance of the Lord. John the Baptist came in the similitude of and indeed as the promised Elijah. However, the Lord promised that He is coming back again. And since, at the first coming, John did not achieve the establishment of righteousness and the wisdom of the just, it is clear that there is another forerunner that must, by the help of the Holy Spirit, achieve bringing many to righteousness before the eventual second coming of the Lord. This forerunner does not seem to be one man but an army of men that shall operate as repairers.

The world today is lopsided with fathers turned against their children and many more in disobedience not only to constituted authorities but much more to God. In actual fact, the apathy in men for the things of God in recent times have been more pronounced than any other time since the advent of Christ. Yet, the Lord is coming to receive unto Himself a Church that is without spot or wrinkle. The present-day Church does not meet that description. Hence, the forerunner is here to proclaim the day of the Lord, now.

Let it be clear to all believers: God is perfect and seeks to relate with a perfect Church. It has been presented to many, albeit erroneously, that perfection is not attainable in this current world. The Lord is sending the forerunner to proclaim perfection and the way by which perfection can be attained. If we do hearken to him to follow that which he is going to direct us through, then shall we be made ready for the Lord, by the help of His Spirit.

Please pray:

Thank you, father for all that you are doing to ensure I end up with you in the end. As your messenger comes to prepare the way for your second coming, please make me to conform with your will and be ready for your appearing in Jesus' name. When you eventually come for your Church, let me be counted amongst the number of those you will receive to yourself, in Jesus’ name. Make me worthy, ready and perfect, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
