Born for Glory

Focus:

"Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him." — Isaiah 43:7 (KJV)

In a world that often measures our value by our performance, appearance, or bank account, our focus scripture brings us back to a fundamental truth: Our existence is intentional. God uses three distinct verbs in this verse to describe His relationship with us: He called, created, and formed us. This wasn't a mass-production accident. We were individually specifically designed with a high purpose in mind—to reflect God’s glory. Think of a masterpiece in a gallery; its beauty isn't meant to point back to the canvas or the paint, but to the skill and heart of the artist. In the same way, we are God's "workmanship." When we live in alignment with Him, life becomes a mirror that reflects His love, His peace, and His character to a world that desperately needs to see Him. We don't have to "invent" a purpose for ourselves; we simply have to "inhabit" the one God already gave us: being living testimonies of His goodness.

On this fateful day, let us allow the knowledge of the fact that we were created specifically for God's glory change the way we view our insecurities. Let us think of and invent some ways to "reflect God’s light" in our workplaces or even homes today. Let us live forthwith like people who belong to God ("called by His name"), and stop trying to make a name for ourselves.

Prayer:Lord, I thank You that I am not an accident. Thank You for forming me and calling me by Your name. Today, I surrender my own desire for recognition and ask that You would use my life to bring glory to You. May my words, my actions, and my attitude point others toward Your greatness. Help me to walk in the confidence of knowing I am Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please share. God bless you.
