Focus: Mark 4:39 – KJV 39. And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Mark 6:45-52
In another day or so, we will be bidding the year bye. Blessed be God who has kept us for a whopping three hundred and sixty-four days breathing free air and keeping us safe from the evil in each day. He is faithful that promised to be with us always, not leaving or forsaking us. Even as the year is going out, it is not unlikely that the enemy is still causing ill-wind to blow against the beloved of God. It is the enemy’s tool-in-trade to do so, and we need not be affected by it to assume the Lord has left us. No! He will never leave nor forsake us. The important thing is that we must check if He is in our boat as we continue in our journey on the sea of life. And if He is not there already, we must ensure to invite Him quickly because He is the storm stiller. While He was on earth, He traveled in the same boat with the disciples. Then came a naughty storm that scared them. The moment they brought it to His notice, He commanded the storm to be still and it was so. At another time He had sent them ahead; then He came on the drink to meet them. At the same time there was a storm. As they recognized Him that approached, the storm was stilled.
The life that we live is said to be short and full of troubles. Surely there will be trials, temptations and tribulations. The troubles, trials, temptations and tribulations are the handiwork of the devil. The reason Jesus was manifested as Christ was to destroy the works of the devil. Hence, if we want to destroy the works of the devil manifesting in our lives, what we need do is invite the one ordained primarily to destroy such works into the affairs. When the storm devastated the life of Bartimaeus and made him blind, it was his contact with Christ that stilled that storm. The madman of Gadara was living in the tombs with the dead because a storm ravaged his life; contact with Christ settled it. Zacchaeus was one in a storm but did not easily recognize it and was seemingly living large on the sweat of others. That storm was stilled when he met Christ and he was willing to divest himself of all ill-gotten wealth. Whatever it is that the enemy has programmed as storm against anyone of us, the same storm would bow to Christ if we invite Him into our boat.
By the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead and also made Him to go about doing good, let every storm in the life of any user of this Guide cease today in Jesus’ name. No matter when the storm started to rage, as the year is about to end, we command an end to the same storm today in Jesus’ name. The one who spoke through Moses to Israel is declaring to us also today that the storm we have seen before we shall see no more, in Jesus’ name. As we prepare to go into the new year, we shall approach it in great peace, joy and exceeding tranquility, in the name of Jesus Christ. And the new year shall bring to us joy unspeakable, in Jesus’ name.
SOLUTION: Christ is the answer to every storm raging in our lives. Invite Jesus and He would still the storm. Incidentally, if you have Jesus inside of you and you put your faith to work, you can command the storm to be still right now by yourself and it will obey you, like it obeyed Christ.
If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
