Focus: Revelation 22:12 - KJV
12. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Matthew 16:24-28
It is foolhardy for anyone to assume that he can live an evil life and get away with it because in the sight of men, he belongs to God. No! The righteous and good judge sees all things and will give reward according to the works done by each. It cannot be right, that a person spends his life in righteousness through and through, while the other spends his own doing evil and then they both be accorded the same treatment by the Lord. Then will it mean that the righteous had led a life in righteousness for nothing. God is not and can never be like that and be looked at as righteous. Those whose works do not get burnt in the end shall be made rulers of nations. It follows that those whose works born shall be so ruled. God is sounding the note of warning now and He has so been doing in ages.
Today, the Lord is calling us to a reflection over the works that we are found in. if, peradventure, the works we do now do not suggest righteousness, that we may quickly repent and realign ourselves with the will of God. Those who refuse to repent and are caught in the act will no longer experience pardon as it will be too late then to repent. The Lord does not want any of us to perish and that is why He is sending to us a note of warning, now. There is urgency attached to the warning that we may know that procrastination can only spell doom, if caught unawares.
SOLUTION: Those who have ears should hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church and act on it, urgently.
Please pray:
· Give God praise for always having our back to prevent the enemy from gaining us away from the Kingdom
· Ask the Lord to please help you by His Spirit to bring forth fruit worthy of repentance so as to build on Christ’s foundation, works that would stand the test of time
· Ask God to please separate between you and all works of evil so that when He shall return, only good works will be found in you
· Pray that you will not miss your reward, and by extension, every member of your family and local assembly, equally
· It is another day full of heaven’s blessings: ask for your own portion today and that the prince of the air be rebuked from the path of your blessing
