Focus: Romans 8:33-34 - KJV
33. Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Romans 8:26-27
Glory be to God for bringing us safely into another month. Many say the figure eight represents a new beginning. One often wonders how many eighth months had signified a new beginning in the lives of men. However, for a user of this Guide, this month will launch us into a new beginning of love, success, promotion, victory, blessings and all the likes in Jesus’ name. This assurance we have in that the major clog to blessings is sin, and for the one who is born again, iniquities borne out of infirmities. As we are on the Lord’s side, the one that would judge us in our state now and in the end, is already our advocate interceding on our behalf to ensure that the indictments brought against us by the accuser of the brethren, does not stand. Christ is the one that can say anyone is justified or condemned as He alone is the way the truth and the life. Hence, no matter the accusations brought against us before the throne, rather than condemnation, we shall receive commendation because of the work of our intercessor, in Jesus’ name.
How does Christ’s intercession work? The Lord Himself commanded that we pray and not faint, and He promised to give us the Holy Spirit as His replacement in this sphere after His ascension. The Holy Spirit is to indwell us from the time we receive Him. When we have Him, He takes over our spirits in prayer because we do not at all times know the will of God, neither do we have full comprehension of the form of indictment before the throne. However, the Holy Spirit, being part of the trinity, understands the deep things and is able to commune with the throne on our behalf. He therefore, takes over our prayers and intercedes on our behalf to our Advocate, putting our causes straight before Him for Him to plead. So, when the believer prays, particularly in the language of the Holy Ghost, through groanings and moaning, He is actually surrendering his understanding to the Holy Spirit who knows all things, to take over for necessary intercession.
The bane of the believer that cringes under the yoke of affliction is the inability to put full action into prayers. That situation ought not to affect us as much as it does if we have properly channeled all claims in intercession through the Holy Spirit to our Advocate, the final judge, to handle. Once He slams the gavel in our favor, no devil dares stay to hurt us in any form, again. The Holy Spirit is readily with us to aid us in our plights. If, however, we ignore Him, He would not force Himself on us. We need to acknowledge His presence always and activate His intercessory function through necessary prayers. That situation just received a yellow card, and if we do as we ought, the red card will be shown and it is very effective.
SOLUTION: We are enjoined to pray without ceasing as our adversary the devil, like a roaring lion goes about looking for whom to devour. Our escape is in fervent prayer. Let us take time to pray and commit our affairs to the Lord, through the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Happy New Month, beloved. We will never get it wrong again, in Jesus’ name.
Please pray: My father and my God, as I begin this new month, please let it be a new beginning of success and blessings in all ramification for me. Let not the enemy overcome me in anyway, in Jesus’ name. Help me to commune with you always from now on, without distraction, that my prayers may have desired effect in the name of Jesus Christ.
