Corruption Of Manners

Focus: 1 Corinthians 15:33 – KJV 33. Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

1 Corinthians 5:1-8

In many conversations and communications right now, the enemy finds occasion to recruit men into his fold, or keep those who are already his, more entrenched in evil. There are places where all that is discussed or debated is sinful. No seemingly pure person is able to come out of the gathering without carrying in himself a seed of evil, at the least, that is, if he is not fully transformed into evil before leaving. Imagine a company where sodomy or sexual immorality is being discussed: if a participant had never been so inclined, he starts to have thoughts around such immorality even if he does not start to partake thereof immediately. If by that which he had in him before, he considers such discussion as evil and wants to abstain from it, from time to time, that which he heard is dropped in his spirit and he dwells a bit on it. Meanwhile, the heart is the receptacle of all human deeds for out of its abundance, the man speaks, and as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

In another light, some people are only good at telling things about others to damage their character before the one being spoken to. Hence, once the hearer sees the one spoken of, he looks at him like a devil, with contempt. Yet, it is possible that all that was said about him was purely a lie. But when the lie is taken in and acted upon, the good manners of the hearer is corrupted, at least towards the one spoken of. This is not the way of the Lord. Haman almost made a monster out of Ahasuerus, the king, when he succeeded in making him dislike the Jews and acceded to a decree that they all be killed. Had God not used Esther and her uncle Mordecai, the Jews in the entire kingdom would have been killed for nothing over the tales borne by an arrogant and envious lieutenant of the king. History would not have been kind to that king if it had happened. Where corruption sets into the manners of a Believer, the Apostle Paul recommends that the same be committed to Satan for the destruction of the flesh in him, which is the corruption, so that his spirit may be saved in the end.

The Lord will help us to be where His Spirit wants us to be per time in Jesus’ name. Every communication from the evil one targeted at desecrating our consecration shall be barred by the Lord from getting to us in any form, in Jesus’ name. Every uncanny word that have formed thoughts tended to evil in us, they are dislodged now by the blood of Jesus, in Jesus’ name. As it is written, every tree that is not planted by my father shall be rooted up, every seed of evil sown in anyone of us are uprooted from our minds now in Jesus’ name. And every tale that has brought evil repercussion in any of our ways are rooted up now and destroyed, in Jesus’ name. We cancel the power in such tale by the power in the blood of Jesus, in Jesus’ name. From this day, the Lord gives us the liberty to prosper and triumph in all spheres of life in Jesus’ name. No corruption will enter into our mannerisms in the name of Jesus Christ.

SOLUTION: Avoid all sources of evil seed as much as possible. Do not be a tale bearer and do not allow one to thrive near you in any way. If there be one already corrupted around you, counsel the same to get restored, otherwise, allow the enemy to mesmerize him a bit to deal with the flesh in him even as you continue to lift him up in prayers that he may not totally be lost.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
