Focus: Isaiah 26:8 - KJV
8. Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
Exodus 3:13-17
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe. Whoever depends on the name of the Lord is never put to shame. When Israel was in the Egyptian bondage and God sent Moses to rescue them, for them to know and be reassured that the one who sent Moses is the one who wages war without countenancing guns, He told Moses to tell them His name by which He was not even known to their fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. When they found faith in that name, they eventually got their freedom from bondage. However, for them to be so free, they had to follow the way of the Lord. They were asked to mark their lintel with the blood of the Passover lamb in readiness for their freedom which freedom was to take them from bondage into a place flowing with milk and honey – from servitude into splendor. Once God so remembered them to send His name to them, He brought them to a new life.
Today, as many as are going through the trauma of oppression or bondage in any manner, God is here to set them free by the power of His name. All He asks is that we believe in His name and follow His way. The way of the Lord is swift but crooked in the sight of them that will perish. There is a way that seems right unto man the end of which is a way of destruction. The way of the Lord which He commends to us leads to life and there is no form of destruction in it. The way of the Lord is peace, it is love and it is holiness. If we abide in His way, by the power in it, we will surely get to the promised land of our lives. The Israelis of Moses’ generation never heard the name Moses brought them before then. But once he told them He is the God of their fathers, they believed. Even if you never knew God this way before, He is asking you to trust and obey so that you may have fullness of joy.
SOLUTION: Hold on to the name of the Lord. His name rules in all realms. Never deviate from the way He has commended to us. No filthy person prospers in the name of the Lord; he must first come to repentance and be cleansed.

· Give thanks to God for the grace to be alive and well on this fateful day. It is only by the grace of the Lord that we are alive till this day. Give God the glory
· Pray that in all you do, the name of the Lord will avail you
· Ask God to please free you from every form of bondage that you may be entangled in by the power in His name, and take you to the heights greater than you
· Tell God to guide you through His way so that you may experience life in a new way far from the way of destruction
· Ask God to arise in His name and come to your aid in life from today.
