Discreet Inner Conversation

Focus: John 11:41-42 - KJV

41. Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

John 17:1-5

In a nuclear family, every member thereof has access to the Master bedroom. Each member goes there to discuss with the family head what he wills and once granted, it becomes his own. The Lord Jesus Christ came from the nuclear family of the Most-High and therefore has direct access to the bedroom of the Father. When He goes therein, He settles all matters in the bedroom chamber of God without any other being hearing their conversation. When He alights therefrom, He just implements the assertions He got from the father and then, other observers see manifestation of power. For instance, He had concluded the raising of Lazarus in the inner chamber with the father and when He appeared at the tomb, He only needed to make witnesses and not pray spectacularly.

The same Jesus has introduced and grafted us into the nuclear family of the Most-High with His blood. Hence, for everyone who is born again being a believer in Christ, he has access to the Lord’s bedroom and can go therein to discuss confidentially with the Most-High and show proof to the chagrin of many. That is what happened to Paul when he was in a capsized boat but lost none of the occupants thereof to the drink. Their matter had been settled in God’s bedroom. By the works of Christ, we all now have access to the throne room of God and we can address Him as Daddy, just like Christ did while He walked the face of the earth.

The Lord is giving us insight to shining and doing so brightly in this present world. It is not until a congregation is gathered that we should start knocking the throne room of heaven to make our petitions, no. It is that, like good children of the faithful father, we ought to reach Him first, early in the day, while He is yet near, to settle all our needs and be assured of them. When we appear before men, it is only to put to action what has been settled for people to properly identify us with the father thereby.

SOLUTION: Be fervent in personal prayers to ensure that all things are first settled with the father before they are made public. It is not the joy of the father to make us look like orphans in His affairs. But that is what happens when in the public we call on Him and He appears not to be responsive. Settle it first in the closet.

Please pray:

·      Give thanks to God for the privilege to know Him and to have access to His bedroom

·      Tell God to please forgive you for taking Him for granted and not making full use of the opportunity He has for you in His bedroom

·      Ask God to please keep His bedroom door open for you that you may come with boldness to His throne room for the best of blessings

·      Ask God to please, by His mercy, grant access to many more so that together, we may all be participants in His bedroom

·      Ask this day for your daily bread, ascending to heaven and asking from the father in His inner chamber.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
