Focus: Galatians 6:10 - KJV
10. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:7-10
Life is like planting a field. It is what the planter puts in the field that sprouts and bring forth fruits for him. Therefore, in life everything we do is a seed planted which returns to the planter in a form of harvest. Incidentally, the harvest of the field is always of much volume and, depending on the things added to aid the plantation, of more quality than the seed. So, God enjoins us to do good unto all men knowing that whatever we do to our neighbors comes back to us in a greater magnitude. If only we all can take this to heart, then shall life be better lived. Wishing evil against a perceived enemy, is a seed sown. No wonder Christ, who should know better and does know better, enjoins us not to pay back evil for evil for He knows that when we do so, a seed is already sown. Indeed, He says we should pray for them that do us evil. But why? So that when the harvest of our good deeds start to show, it will be like coals of fire on the head of the enemy because the same will be in grief rather than joy.
In this new year, it is important we know what we sow. Anyone that does evil is bound to have evil multiplied unto him. And the converse is also true: anyone who sows goodness of kindness will have same multiplied back unto him. And like the field and sowing have to do with the quality of the ground, God enjoins us to do good much more to those on the fertile ground – those of the household of faith. It is of them that the Lord warns saying touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. If therefore anyone goes about messing around with any of the household of faith, he tampers with the apple of God’s eye and has God to contend with. If he does good to the same, he lends to His anointer and will definitely get recompensed. For God is not mocked. He sees all our doings and He is waiting to give back to us according as our seed shall be. A year full of great potentials: potentials for reaping bountiful harvest of goodness if only we will start to sow good seeds from now. Let us not therefore be weary in good doing because in due season, we shall reap.
I sow a seed of kindness into your life this new year as I pray that everything that will make the year glorious for you, the Lord should release unto you right now in Jesus name. if there has been any planting rooted in evil, the Lord by His mercy will uproot the same and prevent it from harvesting unto you in Jesus name. Do good always. God bless you.
