Do Not Grieve The Holy Spirit

Focus: Ephesians 4:30-31 - KJV

30. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Ephesians 4:22-32

Redemption is the action of saving or being saved from sin, error or evil. It can also be said to be the regaining or gaining possession of something in exchange for something or clearing a debt. The coming of Christ is for the redemption of mankind from the sin committed in the garden by Adam and repositioning man in Himself to live the life which Adam forsook, the life of righteousness in love. Once we are so redeemed, we become entitled to be sealed with the Holy Spirit whom Christ promised would be released of the father to them that believe. The sealing with the Holy Spirit is to the effect that we may be guided of Him to walk in the light of our new creation, doing those things that are loving and of God, leaving those things that are of the world which are dictated by the flesh that belong to the Adamic nature. When we succeed in living this way, we are seen to bear a special fruit which is of the Spirit. It is this fruit that commends us to the Lord in the end when the believer will eventually be fully redeemed from death which is the global wages of sin. This time, it is not necessarily the sin of Adam, but that of the man done in dishonor unto God, having been introduced to the light of God. Hence, in whichever way, sin has its consequence, but redemption is by the sealing of the Holy Spirit in the very end.

Are you born again? The way by which we have life and have it more abundantly is to live according to the tenets of Christ. No one who is in Christ Jesus and sealed with the Holy Spirit should be found manifesting the works of the flesh, or any part of it at all. Therefore, let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. They are clogs in the way of the believer’s ultimate redemption which happens after leaving this present life. It is the redemption by the Holy Spirit that brings us into a new life with the father, in the company of innumerable number of angels. How glorious that will be. Those who fail to eschew the works of the flesh will have themselves to blame in the end, as they will end up grieving the Holy Spirit and cause Him to be detached from them. Think about it: assume Adam is able to see what has happened to the generations of his children because of his original one act of disobedience that detached him from the Holy Spirit, will he be glad he brought this upon them? There will be regrets for everyone that fails to get the ultimate redemption in the Holy Spirit. Heed therefore, the warning of God at this time. Run from those things that have the semblance of evil, and live only in love.

Our father and our God we declare we love you and will love to stick with you forever. Thank you for the redemption we have in Christ Jesus. As we are only able to stay hinged to you if we are ultimately redeemed by the Holy Spirit with whom we are sealed, please keep us sealed in Him to the very end that we may so be redeemed in Jesus’ name. Every booby trap of the flesh warring against our souls, please tear down today in Jesus’ name. Do help us to bear, from now and ever more, only the fruit of the Spirit that we may always be found in you, in Jesus’ name. Whatever we do, let nothing detach us from you, ever, in Jesus’ name.

SOLUTION: Never allow your actions or words to grieve the Holy Spirit. It is by Him we are sealed unto ultimate redemption. If anything will prevent you from getting that redemption, cut it off today. It is not wise to gain the whole world and forfeit one’s soul through anger, bitterness, clamor, evil speaking or any such thing. Stay pure and clean.
