Fully Equipped

Focus: 2 Peter 1:3 KJV: "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:"
Believers are already fully equipped for our spiritual journey. God’s divine power has placed every single tool, strength, and resource we will ever need for daily survival ("life") and moral excellence ("godliness") directly inside our spiritual toolbox. This total provision is not earned by human effort; it is unlocked entirely through a deep, personal knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Originally, Peter relied on his own strength. He loudly boasted that he would die for Jesus, but when pressure hit, his natural courage evaporated and he denied Christ three times out of fear. He lacked the inner resources to live a godly life on his own. After the resurrection and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Peter was completely transformed. He didn't magically get a better personality; he was relying on the "divine power" given to him. Armed with this supernatural supply, the once-fearful fisherman boldly confronted the very leaders who crucified Jesus, healed the sick, and faithfully led the early church under brutal persecution, proving he had everything needed to fulfill his calling.
Peter’s transformation proves that we do not need to manufacture our own spiritual strength. When we feel entirely inadequate to face a trial or overcome a bad habit, we ought to stop looking inward. Let us turn our focus toward growing in our personal relationship with Jesus. His power has already supplied the victory; we just need to open the toolbox and walk in it. Victory is asserted.
Prayer:
My father and my God I come to you today with a load of my burdens. Thank you for keeping me alive till now so that you may show forth your glory in my life. Please take away my fears and burdens and prove your power through my life today. Let the earth be dumbfounded at the measure I carry of you, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Please share. God bless you.
