Our God is not a shifting decimal. He is not righteous today and unrighteous tomorrow; faithful today but unfaithful tomorrow; just today and unjust tomorrow; holy today and unholy tomorrow, No. Who He is, He is from the beginning to the end. It is because of His unshifting goodness that those who believe and trust in Him are not consumed of the enemy. He can do a thing He did in the past again and again.
Therefore, it is important to learn of Him by His word. Whatever you discover of Him in His word is who He is. For instance, in His word, He made the barren fruitful, healed the sick and raised the dead. He chastised the recalcitrant, gave good life to those who professed His name and so on. Those things He can still do and He will yet do for you if you so deserve. He looked at the world at a time and found overwhelming pollution for which He released water from all the realms to consume every creature but preserved Noah and animals in an ark; after which He promised not to destroy the earth again with water. But He is poised to do the same again. This time He is coming to rid the earth of unbelievers and establish His kingdom on earth. Are you still wondering whether it will happen or not? He has done it before. What if it doesn’t happen? What have you to lose?
What the Lord is inviting you to is your natural and spiritual wellness. Even if the spiritual seems unreal, at least you will gain the natural. But if you don’t hearken and you find the spiritual true eventually, you will be the greatest loser in the end if you fail to hearken to what you are being invited to by the Lord. Love your God and your neighbor; let your conversation be without covetousness.
Before He finally comes to pour His wrath on sinners, He has promised not to leave you or forsake you. He has done it before; He will come through for you also. But you need to arise and do what He wants you to do. Don’t turn deaf hears to the cry of the Lord. Yield to Him right now.
Pray:
Father, I want more of you. Please help me to know you more and abide in your being so that I may in all my getting be faithful to you to the end. Help me never to be shifting as that does not depict your person. I want to be like you. I need you to fulfil this. Help me to achieve this please, in Jesus name.
