God Knows

Focus: Job 16:19-20 - KJV

19. Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high. 20. My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God.

Job 16:12-21

Many are times when calamity befalls men and they assume that it is from God. Really and truly, nothing happens to man without the knowledge of God, but for all intents and purposes, the giver of life takes death as an enemy. It is bad that calamity befalls men, but worse when the victim is viewed as a sinner and the occurrence being assumed to be the result of evil deeds, when more particularly the one concerned is ordinarily righteous. God sees all things and that is why He is called the Righteous Judge. He will not put a blame where it does not belong. Rather, He will succor them that are judged wrongly upon the earth.

Job was a righteous man and was messed up by the enemy just so as to have him deny and curse God. Nonetheless, in the eyes of his friends who had taken the full knowledge of God upon themselves, it must be due to Job’s secret sins that he was being buffeted and, worse still, the buffeting was attributed to God. Thank God that Job knew and stood his ground about his innocence and dependence on God’s righteous judgment. Christ Jesus was righteous as a man. Other men connived to kill him but had nothing against Him. So, they said He was blasphemous and for it He had to die. But the Righteous Judge knew He had no blemish and took His death as sacrifice for the sin of man. He judged Him correctly.

The Lord is saying to everyone that the enemy has had to lie against and make look like a villain over time that He, the Righteous Judge sees their innocence and would pronounce them so, with time. No matter the extent of damage the enemy has caused with lies and wrong labeling, the Lord sees it all and will cause it to be corrected. There is surely an end. Our Advocate is speaking on our behalf to ensure justice is served. Be of good cheer, the Lord is at hand.

My father, and my Defender, I thank you for your loving kindness over my life. This day, please arise for my sake and pass the right judgment as it pertains to my matter in the name of Jesus. Every lie that had been cooked against me, please expose and disgrace the liars in Jesus’ name. Let your name and your name alone be glorified, in Jesus’ name. Make me a victor from hence and never the vanquished, in the name of Jesus Christ.
