1. Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
Galatians 1:11-17
The work of the Gospel is never received of men or by the teaching of anyone but by the revelation of God. When the Lord decides to use a man as His vessel in the work of the Gospel, He invests so much in Him through diverse means and then opens his understanding eventually to that to which he is called. It does not matter how the beginnings of the called had been, all that he has been through are a form of training to aid of his assignment. Unless and until he enters into the calling, he will never find fulfilment elsewhere. But when he does enter, God supplies him with sufficient grace and supplies to actualize that for which he is called which is the propagation of the Gospel of God.
The man Paul was born a Jew. He was trained a lawyer with crass understanding of the law of Moses and the prophets. He grew into loving his profession and practice that he became a member of the Jewish council called the Sanhedrin. By virtue of his calling and exuberance about the law, he got the fiat of the High Priest to deal with the purveyors of the Gospel not knowing that he was called from the foundation of the world for the same purpose which he antagonized. When he eventually realized his calling, he did it with all his vigor and might, never to deviate therefrom again; putting together all the knowledge he acquired about the law to justify the Gospel. Therein he found fulfilment; therein he made gains for the heavenly Kingdom.
There are many like Saul of Tarsus who carry the investment of God for the Gospel but are currently wasting away and not realizing yet the calling of the Lord upon their lives. They do carry adequate information concerning that which the Lord is calling them to, but yet lack the understanding. Hence, like Saul, they are still about working contrary to that calling believing they are serving God. The Lord is saying expressly to them today to come out of their midst and be separated unto that for which they are called. There is no fulfilment or satisfaction when operating outside of the will and calling of God.

Lord, do please open the eyes of every user of this devotional to realize their positioning in your will as of today so that they may make all adjustments necessary, in the name of Jesus. Like you saved Saul of Tarsus from self-destruct, please save each and every one of us from colliding with you wrongly, in Jesus’ name. Do take us to the places of our assignments in you by taking us away from the places of deceit where we had been operating hitherto, in Jesus’ name. By this, please let us find fulfilment in you and do your bidding alone, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
