The Door Of The Sheep

Focus: John 10:9 - KJV

9. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

John 10:7-10

A door is an access. The access leads either to a good or a bad place. Jesus is the door of the Lord’s sheep for access unto the Great Shepherd, God. But then, there are doors and there is the door. As Jesus is the door, there are other doors that present themselves unto the sheep but lead not to the Great Shepherd. Every servant and prophet that claimed they represented God before men could not claim to be the access unto God. They had a glimpse of the person of God but introduced their respective biases into His personality. Some even present God as a monster. Using such as access can only lead to a wrong being whom they have wrongly described. But with Christ, He is in the father and the father in Him. They twine are inseparable. Hence, to reach the father, Jesus is the sure way because He knows the father and presents Him as He is.

Many described God in time past as a killer. They claimed He kills and makes alive. Christ knows the father better: the father is love who gives the best of things to His children. He gives life and life in abundance. He does not want any to perish but to come to repentance and be saved. For others who seemed like doors, any offender of God will be destroyed by Him. For Christ, God is so loving that He gave His only begotten son so that those who will believe will escape the destruction to come from the enemy but have everlasting life instead. Some had said that God bears curses and that He is unstable. For instance, even though God gave a law saying thou shall not kill, they claim that He approved for them to kill offenders. These kinds of “doors” should not be used for access but the one who knows the way and is apt about the person of the loving God.

The Lord is saying to us today that it should not be difficult for us to know the right door since He is the one who by Himself said Jesus is His beloved Son whom we should hear. There is no other prophet He directed us to or commended to us aside Christ. Let us therefore keep our focus on Christ who is the main and only door that leads to the father where our salvation from perishing lies. If any fails to follow Christ, then the same would have missed his point and may end up in perdition.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Lord will open your eyes to the right access to God such that you will never miss your blessings. The Lord will take you to the height that no devil can reach to draw you down ever again, in Jesus’ name. From this day, by reason of your unfettered access to the father, every beautiful thing that flows from the throne of heaven is yours in Jesus’ name.
