God’s Superior Thoughts And Ways

Focus: Isaiah 55:8-9 - KJV

8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Genesis 26:1-4

There is a tendency in man to want to copy the things of others just by comparing themselves with those others and wanting to be like them. The fact that my brother lives in a mansion with many rooms by the ocean with many cars and so on does not make me an inferior person because I live in a village and merely survive on the greens and vegetables thereat, if only I will learn to be contented with my placement by the Lord. Egypt provided succor to Abraham when there was famine in the land that the Lord showed him. He came out of Egypt a wealthy man. It did not however, mean that the son Isaac would have had the same fate if he went down to Egypt. God’s plan for each and every one of us is peculiar and not necessarily replicated. For Isaac, God’s thought was for him to stay in Gerar and be prospered there. If he had refused and gone down to Egypt, he might perhaps have met his waterloo there and suffer real doom.

To some, until they possess the things someone else possesses, they cannot attain anything in life. Meanwhile, the weapon in the hands of Saul was of no significance to David in killing the giant. In the view of ordinary observers and indeed the adversary, David’s sling and stone was, to say the least, a nonstarter. But all they that had spears and swords did not and could not confront the giant despite all their fortification. The best time to set traps for fish in the creek is said to be at night as they swim into the nets believing their predators being man majorly, had gone to sleep. However, the efforts of Simon Peter and his friends at night attracted no fish. When the one whose thoughts and ways are greater than that of man came at dawn and ordered a launch, they became stupefied by that which they caught.

The reason we have suffered so much loss can be attributable to wanting to copy known ways and follow our carnal thoughts or those of others. If only we will spend time to discover God’s thoughts in that situation, then are we going to be truly victorious. Isaac obeyed God’s way and made a hundredfold return in famine. Jacob had toiled for over twenty years without a wage; but at the Lord’s strategy, he became richer than his employer all of a sudden. Stop comparing yourself with others and trying to achieve what they have. Rather, focus on the mind of God for you and pursue the same. When you do this, you can only end up being fulfilled. Your destiny is not trapped in any other person’s.

SOLUTION: That which the Lord has told you to do which looks absurd to you is the way to your stardom. Do it. Stop waiting until a human help agent comes. “What is that in your hand”? is what the Lord is saying at this time. “Put it to use” and leave the rest to God.

Please pray: My Father and my God I know there is none wiser than you are. I submit myself fully to your ways to do all that you will have me do by the help of your Spirit. Please, therefore guide my hands to succeed in these endeavors that you are leading me to like you guided David’s hand to slay Goliath, in Jesus’ name. Help me to fulfil my own destiny and purpose in the name of Jesus Christ.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
