Focus: Psalms 119:165 - KJV
165. Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
Matthew 13:37-43
The Lord has spent so much resources to reveal to us that there is no escape for the wicked, just so that we may end in righteousness and be crowned with glory. Wickedness is not better described than to say when loving kindness is repaid with evil. For clarity, God is kind towards us and while we were yet sinners, He so loved us that He laid down His life to prevent us from the death programmed for the wicked. Rather than reciprocate that love, we rather resort to paying back with disloyalty and disobedience which is lack of love. Everyone that does that is adjudged wicked by the Lord. Hence, to depict it properly, Christ told us the parable of the Sower. It does not matter that the enemy dealt terrible blow to some of the seed sown, what is critical is that we allowed the seed to go to waste and allowed the tares sown by the enemy to thrive instead. It is wickedness that makes man to allow a substitution of good planting with tares.
David had shown Saul love. Rather than reciprocate the love, he decided David must die. As God will always back the righteous up and never forsake him, David dwelled in safety all the days of Saul, even when he took flight and refuge in the cave, Adullam. Even though David was running at every point he learnt of Saul’s plan, he was not the one saving himself from Saul, but the hand of the Lord. When eventually, the Lord made him to see the end of Saul, all he could do was to glorify God, even though like a righteous person, he did mourn Saul. The difference between David and Saul was the willingness and readiness to obey the commands of God. The beauty in righteousness is that in the end, God will take the righteous to His side, no matter the situation.
Even as we decide to obey God and be deemed righteous, the Lord will surely fight our battles and make us victorious on all fronts in Jesus’ name. It does not matter the power or position of the wicked, God will forever protect His humble lover, no matter what. If only we would renew our minds today and follow the ways of Christ, then the Lord will arise for our purpose and make us victorious to the very end, no matter how tough the situation appears as of today. The end of the wicked is never glorious. Even though he appears to have contacts and good company, he is lacking in the good things of God which includes eternal life.
SOLUTION: Seek after righteousness always. It is the only way to eternal life after becoming born again. A refusal to follow the example of Christ and live by it, is a decision to forsake life and embrace the lake of fire which is where the tares sown by the enemy leads.
Please pray: Father, we acknowledge your goodness unto us and pray that you give us the Spirit to reciprocate your love by living right with you in Jesus’ name. Please exclude us completely from the punishment, pain and agony reserved for the wicked in the name of Jesus Christ.
If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
