He Is Risen

Focus: Matthew 28:6 - KJV

6. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

1 Corinthians 15:12-19

The hope of every believer is in the unassailable fact that Christ was born, crucified, dead, buried and rose again. The beauty of the rising is to confirm that like He had said, He would go away to the father and return to take us home so that where He is, we may be there also. The devil did all he could to prevent the resurrection or the evidence of it, but God made it all plain to everyone even those whose mind is to distort the facts. Hence, His resurrection from the dead gives us a reassurance that what He promised He would do is what He has gone to do. His is a precursor to our resurrection or jettisoning of the natural body for the celestial one that affords us life eternal.

Paul was so clear in His mind when he taught the early Christians about the resurrection from the dead. If the enemy had succeeded in causing confusion to make it seem Christ did not rise, there would have been no basis for our hope. However, since we have a precedent in Christ and the promise of our God, we have an assurance that soon and very soon, we will be with Him in a place better than whatever we may imagine of the current world.

The essence of this resurrection insight is that we may be mindful of the fact that no devil can scuttle the plan of the Lord for our lives. We ought therefore to begin to operate in the good works that Christ has prescribed for us so that we do not miss the lively hope of life eternal on the resurrection morning. For those who miss out will be faced with weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. The Lord does not want such for us but to keep us among the saints triumphant who shall sing the Hallelujah chorus continually before the throne of grace. Happy Easter!

Please pray:

Father, I thank you for the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ that brings wretched man like me into the hope of life eternal. Lord, let not the death and resurrection of Christ over my life be in vain, in Jesus’ name. Please, let your kingdom come in our time and preserve us to be partakers of your grace thereat, in Jesus’ name. On this day, as we commemorate the resurrection of Christ, let everything in and about me that may be dead arise again, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Please share with others. God bless you.
