9. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
Revelations 7:9-15
The praises of man are never a thing to rely on, as the heart of the ordinary man is desperately wicked. He praises you today saying Hosannah and tomorrow, he turns around to declare “crucify him”. That is the nature of man and the worth of his praise, ordinarily. However, God is to be praised, for He deserves it in all ramification. The tendency with man is to withhold praise from whom it is due: they would rather have themselves praised rather than praise another. Jesus Christ was being praised and the wicked raised a complaint, just for Christ to declare that if men refuse to praise Him, He could raise people to do so from stones.
It follows that God is not lacking in praises and can raise a team of effective praise singers unto Himself anyhow, and at any time. Even John the beloved records the numerous beings that are engaged in the praises of our Lord right in the Kingdom of heaven. These include human beings that had gone through life on earth and succeeded to cross to the better place. What they do all through is to praise the Lord. In the meantime, it is written that we are not able to cross until we realize and give praises to the one who died for the redemption of our souls, saying, blessed is the one that came in the name of the Lord.
Beloved, we are invited to render praises unto our God from time to time. Those who live their lives praising God experience heaven on earth without inhibition. Clearly so, they are the ones being prepared for heaven and they will make it there, if all things remain equal. As it is, we are to ascribe time and space to praising God, like David, whether it is convenient or not. No matter what we are passing through per time, God remains God and should be praised. Refusing to praise Him will not diminish His person or the quantum of praises He gets per time. If we do not praise Him, we are the ones at the disadvantage.
SOLUTION: Nothing should bar us from giving praises to the one who loves us and has been responsible for our being. For a better life and expectation, why not create a time to praise Him each day, without distraction?
Please pray: Father, I praise your holy name for there is none other like you and you alone deserve all the praises. As only the living can praise you, please keep me among the living here and hereafter that I may always form part of the voices that sing your praise, in the name of Jesus.
