Focus: Isaiah 64:4 - KJV
4. For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
1 Corinthians 2:6-16
The Lord’s waiter is a special specie of human. He carries so much grace that he becomes extra ordinary before those who consider him their contemporary. He is one who serves the Lord regularly and thereby understands the preferred menu He curries, serving Him without being disgruntled or uncheerful. He ensures he presents himself likeable unto the Lord at all times without fail and is never putting before the Lord his own personal will but only that which the Lord wills. And because the Lord is a generous giver, He does not only leave the “leftover” on His table to the waiter, He actually brings the waiter to the table to dine with Him. And when the meal is done, aside the tips which are not menial, the Lord has something special tucked away from the knowledge of everyone for His waiter which is ordinarily indescribable. When Enoch served Him, he was constantly in the company of the Lord such that they relished all meals together. When the Lord was done eating, He took Enoch to His palace where the beauty and glory no mouth can describe. Elijah was of like passion. After his service, the Lord decided to give him a surprise package and sent special chariots to take him to a place where no one is yet able to describe the beauty. In the story of Lazarus and the rich man, the Bible records that when the rich man died, he was buried – his remains were committed to the scorchy earth and it ended there; but when Lazarus died, angels came to take him to the bosom of Abraham where the rich man saw him in great splendor and sought assistance through him. That which the Lord has preserved for those who love Him is yet indescribable.
Are you willing to enjoy the Lord’s company in His great palace where the beauty transcends anything known currently unto man? The way there is in serving the Lord acceptably. Your service to Him must be one He approves and not necessarily based on the applause or criticism of men. What qualifies us for the splendor untold is first mercy and then yielding to the lordship of God by obeying Him to serve Him only the menu He desires. Quarre: will you be comfortable to eat from the hands of a waiter who serves you soup with dead flies floating in it? If your answer is no, then how do we expect God to also take from us a delicacy ladened with filth? Disobedience is filth before God.
SOLUTION: Be resolute to serve the Lord acceptably from hence. Tell Him with clear intention and mind you love Him and will want to serve Him for the rest of your life. Ensure you obey His commands to the extent that you are able by the help of the Holy Spirit. Stay in tune with Him. The benefits are huge.
Father, thank you for loving us. We confess also that we love you. Please help us to do your will at all times throughout the rest of our individual lives in the name of Jesus. Do make us partakers of the indescribable largesse you have prepared for those who love you in Jesus’ name. Whatever we will do that will disqualify us from partaking, Lord, please prevent us from doing it in Jesus’ name.
Please share to others. God bless you as you do.
