Jesus Cares

Focus: Mark 4:38 - KJV

38. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

Mark 4:35-40

For everyone that is in the family of God, the Lord is constantly by them and all He requires from them in life is absolute faith that with God in their boats, no tempest or storm can undo their boats. There is tendency for the ordinary man to panic when the storm arises. But when there is confidence that God is with us, then we ought to stand with the conviction that none can be against us. There is no situation we are confronted with that is too big for Him to surmount. For as long as He remains with us, there is nothing to fear.

Jesus Christ is God in the flesh of man. When He was on the face of the earth, He demonstrated His care for those with Him when even though He was humanly tired and slept in a boat in which He traveled with His Apostles, when a storm came in the cause of the journey and it seemed overwhelming to the disciples and they had to wake Him up to call His attention to the storm. He rose and calmed the storm instantly. But then He made it clear that faith is crucial to surviving the storms of life, particularly when He is in the boat so affected by storm.

The Lord is saying to a user of this devotional today that the fact that there is storm raging in your life is no proof that He has abandoned you. He wants you to be reassured that for as long as He remains in your boat, no devil can be a torpedo to the same with whatever storm. He is inviting you today to look to Him and present what the issues are and leave Him to deal with it in His own way. Peace is coming today and the storm will be over, if only you can believe and have faith in the one who is in your boat.

Please pray:

Thank you, father for locating me in your boat never to leave or forsake me. Daddy, please still every storm ravaging my life at this time, in the name of Jesus. Keep me in your peace that passes all understanding, in Jesus’ name.

Please share with others. God bless you.
