Focus: John 16:13 - KJV
13. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 14:25-31
The Lord Jesus Christ came into the world with a mission: to redirect man to the true God as against the manipulation that the enemy has sold to the world. To do that, He received all words and acts of His, directly from the father. Then, He was meant to vacate the earth when He was fully accomplished regarding His assignment. However, to forestall the enemy from achieving with ease, the same fete he did with the first Adam, with the witnesses of the new thing the Lord had started, there was the need to release the Holy Spirit to them (the witnesses), to continue where the Lord Jesus Christ stopped, so that believers will continue to receive direct instructions from the Lord, like they did when Christ was physically with them, but now from the Holy Spirit.
Many people hear of the Holy Spirit but do not know who He is and the essence of His mission on earth. Because He is a Spirit (the Spirit of God), He operates in and through clean vessels. Hence, when the Lord departed, He was released upon the believers as a multitude of sort, when they were separated unto God, staying in one accord in their belief in the promise of the Father. When He came on them, He gave them supernatural enablement and they started to show signs and wonders. Outside this, He began to show believers things to come that no one had known or seen before. For instance, He started to reveal to people like Paul, such things as the rapture; to John the beloved, the new heaven and the new earth and so on and so forth. From that Pentecost until now, better than the revelation the people of the old order had, the Holy Spirit has been revealing to mankind, the mind of God, through His Church.
The Lord is asking us to relate with the Holy Spirit right now like we would have related with Christ if we lived at His advent. Those who do not allow the Holy Spirit to operate in and through them are missing the Christ because that Spirit is the one moving in men to reveal to them that which Christ had taught and to also expose the things that are to come. When we know things to come, then we can apply wisdom by getting ready for them. A refusal to cooperate with the Holy Spirit is a rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ in a manner of speaking; and those who reject the Spirit rejects the Christ and the Father that sent Him.
SOLUTION: Submit yourself to the baptism in the Holy Ghost so that the Holy Spirit may in-dwell you henceforth, and teach you all things that will be pleasing unto God.
Please pray:
· Give thanks to God for giving to us His Spirit to comfort us
· Pray that the Holy Spirit will come upon you and every member of your household like He did on Pentecost and in the house of Cornelius back in the day
· Ask God to constantly remind you of the teachings of Christ that makes you operate in the will of God, as well as reveal the future events to you from time to time
· Pray that by the Holy Spirit living in you, signs and wonders will follow your doings going forward and the world will serve the God you serve
· Ask for your daily bread today
