13. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Achievements are good. Indeed they form testimonies that ought to spur us on and also encourage others. But something is important in the journey of the kingdom: time is so limited! Many of us came to the knowledge of the truth after having spent over a third of the time allotted to us on earth or thereabout. While we were in the world, all that the Creator had purposed for us to achieve have always been waiting for us. Even now, some have spent more than two thirds of their time and have not started to pursue the destiny assigned to them. Moses was to get Israel out of Egypt to the promised land and share the land to them. He started the pursuit only at eighty. When he became one hundred and twenty, he allowed himself to be aggravated by those he led and his destiny was truncated. Joshua took over from where Moses stopped. He took them in and started to share the land to them. But alas, he became almost too old to do much and was yet to cover much ground. Paul learnt from these examples, knew that the days are evil, like the sensible driver, he refused to fix his gaze on the rear-view mirror but on the road ahead so that he might cover much more ground and thereby win the necessary price.
All those achievements and high sounding titles of yours are good. But are they the real purpose of God for your life? Those are already in your kitty and therefore in the past. It is more desirable now to understand the counsel of God regarding your life and pursue the same so as to be pleasing to the Lord. Delay only erodes the time available. Look to God today for guidance on what next to do to be pleasing to Him. There are many stories and testimonies that should guide us in this light. The Holy Spirit will do the remaining.
SOLUTION: Stop wasting time reliving the past gains. Focus on new frontiers by the leading of the Lord. The harvest is plenteous but the laborers are indeed very few. Let the Lord of the harvest count you among the approved labor for His harvest.
The Lord will support you and quicken you to performance and accomplishment in Him in Jesus name. Every power trying to cause you to waste precious time are rebuked for your sake in Jesus’ name. All the spiritual tools that will aid your successful completion of this race the Lord will release to you in Jesus name. Let’s get serious. Time is running.
