Love Jesus Sincerely

Focus: Ephesians 6:24 - KJV

24. Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

1 Corinthians 16:22

Many proclaim the love for Christ and that is why they are called Christians, but do not even know the Christ they proclaim, not to talk about loving Him. Jesus Christ is the one who saw us in the crisis of sin where we were reckoned dead, and decided to put His glory aside just to take our place in the position of death, that we may live. Hence, by His death, we that were dead in sin were given ransom from death that we may live by Him. Now, only an ungrateful person will fail to love such a being who has wrought so much in sacrifice, for our salvation. But for Him, mankind would have no hope of living whether now or in eternity. He took us over unto Himself while we were yet stinking with sin.

God detests ingratitude. He expects us to love the one who died for our sin. Loving Him lies in obeying His command which is simply love. It is only when we live in love that we live by Him and that is when we are sincere in our loving Him. If we do otherwise, we make His sacrifice vain in our affairs. To those who do this, the Bible says they should be Anathema Maranatha. Anathema means to set up or dedicate an object or creature for sacrificial offering. By and large, the same is destined for destruction and therefore, accursed. And maranatha means Come Lord. Used together, it means come Lord and excommunicate the accursed who are doomed to destruction. In essence, everyone who fails to love Christ sincerely are condemned to destruction and the scripture is urging the Lord to hasten it.

Beloved, whatever is written is said to be settled. A refusal to love Christ sincerely is already a condemned situation. It is therefore, not understandable what many are thinking when they refuse to acknowledge Jesus Christ and His impact on the human race. It is akin to seeing a gulf that is destructive and plunging oneself into it. Perhaps this is because those concerned lack understanding and refuse to get it. Even the Lord says “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. A knowledge of the deeds of Christ will accord every man some understanding of what is at stake. The earlier we yield to getting understanding, the better for our ultimate salvation. A refusal to love Christ is a jettisoning of salvation and preference for death/destruction.

SOLUTION: It is a clear principle of God that if He be not worthy of us, then we cannot be worthy of Him. To take benefit of the benevolence of God, we must reciprocate His love genuinely by obeying His commands to the letter. Not necessarily by our own strength but through the help of the Holy Spirit.

Please pray: Father, I thank you for the love you have shown to me by dying for my sin that I may live rather than die. Please give me the full understanding of your love that I may also love you also in return in Jesus’ name. Please keep me out of destruction that I may reign with you in Jesus’ name.

If you are blessed by this post, kindly share with your contacts, as well as others, that they may be blessed also. Thank you and may God bless you abundantly as you do so, in Jesus’ name.
