More Than Conquerors We Are!

Focus: Romans 8:37-39 - KJV

37. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Galatians 2:15-21

Prior to the death and resurrection of Christ, every man emanating from Adam had been conquered by the enemy and placed under bondage because of sin committed in the beginning by one man, in whom we all were as tiny atoms. These atoms are grown now into separate beings but the effect of that sin continued to ravage as there was practically no way to put the entire atoms back into conforming with righteousness unless of course, the wages of the sin is fully paid. Therefore, it became difficult for man to escape the bondage brought on him, despite the laws and every other ordinance. Then came the Joker card: Christ being the seed of the Holy Spirit who cannot sin, volunteered to bear the brunt by paying the wages of the sin committed at the outset. This changed the entire equation in that it set free everyone that was placed under the yoke of its bondage.

Hence, rather than being aggregated in the first man from who’s cells we all came, there is now an overcoming streak in having us grafted into the cells of the new man who paid for our misbehavior. We are then no longer reckoned as the seed of the first man sinner but that of the second righteous man. This catapults us straight from the deluge of sin and destruction into the light of life and blessings. What a great love the Lord has shown to bring us into such victory? This victory is however contained in the words of the new man, to draw us away from the lies the enemy had told us to make us assume that God is against us, just like he did in the garden with Eve. If we therefore believe and hold on to the word of life, we ought not to be separated ever from the love of Christ, knowing how great a victory He has wrought for us, bringing us as part of Himself into the life Kingdom.

Beloved, despite such great providence that we have in the Lord, many are still operating under the yoke of bondage by still believing the lie of the enemy and refusing to be grafted as part of the cells of the new man. Those that are so grafted are set free and they are free indeed. Unless we accept so great a sacrifice that Christ made for us, how can we as men claim the victory that has been freely given? The bondage of the mind does not allow free access to the overcoming blessings. Let us have the confidence that in Christ, we are already victorious and as long as we remain in Him, no devil can pull us down again, for we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us and died in our stead.

SOLUTION: For how long shall we continue to assume we are still tied to a stake when the leach had long been taken away? Please breathe the air of freedom by embracing the victory we have in Christ Jesus. Accept Him today and be so grafted into His cells to begin to take the overcoming strides.

Please pray: Father, please do not let the death and resurrection of Christ for me be in vain. I surrender my totality unto you so that you may get me properly engrafted in Christ, away from the root of sin, that I may reign with you and inherit with Christ, the good Kingdom, in Jesus’ name.
