Peace Is A Key

Focus Scripture:

"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." — Hebrews 12:14 (KJV)

Today’s Reflection: The Access Card to God's Presence

Yesterday, we learned about the keys to the Kingdom. Today, God is showing us that peace and holiness are the specific "access cards" required to enter the presence of our Maker.

There is a divine force in God’s presence that prevents anything unqualified from entering. Because God is pure and cannot behold iniquity, we must align our character with His to see Him. Pursuing peace with everyone—not just those we like—is the ultimate expression of Christ-like love.

Consider the examples of the past:

• The Rich Man & Lazarus: Even in torment, the rich man’s love was limited only to his own family. True Kingdom love reaches beyond our "kindred" to the stranger.

• The Apostle Peter: Peter initially struggled with discrimination, preferring his own people until God showed him that no one He has cleansed should be called "unclean."

When we refuse to pursue peace or hold onto grudges, we turn our hearts against God’s kind of love. This makes us "unpresentable" to the Father. But through the blood of Jesus, we all have been cleansed. We are called to recognize that we are all "cousins" in the truest sense; any division or "schism" is simply a tool of the enemy to keep us from God’s purpose.

Today, use the special Kingdom key of peace. Open your heart, reconcile with those who are hurting, and let the peace that passes all understanding guard your soul.

Today’s Prayer

Lord, please settle my heart with Your peace. Help me let go of every hurt and truly embrace my neighbor in love. Let no offense "railroad" me away from You. Grant me the grace to live at peace with all men so that I may see Your face in the end. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Practical Step for Today:Is there someone you have been "discriminatory" toward in your heart? Reach out or pray specifically for their well-being today, choosing to use your key of peace to unlock a door of reconciliation.
