Placing our Times in God’s Hands

Focus: Psalms 31:14-15 - KJV

14. But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my God. 15. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

Colossians 4:2-5

The enemy knows that for the life of every man, time is limited. Hence, he employs tactics to help the man to waste his time. For instance, he knows that the essence of man is to subdue and replenish the earth. To draw man away from such pursuit, he creates for him some distractions that occupy his time and attention so that in a wee, the life is almost or even fully spent. There are many whom God crafted a great destiny for but by the movies on television or crass unworthy attention on social media, they lose their focus. That television viewing or social media participation is bad? Not at all. But obsession to either is devilish. If it is through the television that you are to do the replenishing and therefore engrossed in it, no one can blame you for that. Or if your presence on social media is tied to your fulfilling destiny, then please be there always. But the general tendency to abdicate good works and stick to distractive mechanisms is a thief of time. In actual fact, there are so many mechanisms crafted to distract in the world today that men do not even countenance as such. To avoid being distracted, there is need to commit our times into the hands of God the best time manager.

When we commit our times into the Hands of God, He helps to ensure the enemy, who is full of deception and distractive methods is put at bay in our affairs. Persecution and fiery darts from the camp of evil doers are major means of distraction. But God knows how to clamp the wings of the enemies for the sake of His beloved ones. He does deliver the beloved from the oppressor and creates opportunity to focus. He is available to do this if we will pray to Him, commit our times into His hands and ask for His help. When we do so, God guides us to work in wisdom with those that would be instruments in the hands of the enemy to distract us from achieving our goals. When God takes over our time, He it is that assists us in redeeming lost time so as to do more within the spate of time left for us. But for God, distractions will not allow us achieve anything as we ought.

SOLUTION: Please be focused on asking God to put your times in his hands even as you give Him thanks always for being your God. Make sure you are actively watchful of what you do and be wise in your dealings with people outside the fold of God. Avoid distraction as much as possible.

The Lord will bless you and keep you in track of the fulfilment of destiny in Jesus name. Every form of distraction placed before you to take quality time away from you, the Lord will disperse for your sake in Jesus name. The Lord will aid you to redeem all time lost to distraction from now on in Jesus name. You will end well and gloriously in Jesus name. Stay connected unto God. It pays to do so.
