Pray for the converts

Key verse: 2 Thessalonians 1:11 - KJV

11. Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

The Church of the living God is suffering persecution all over the world. The enemy wants to hoist his flag in all nations preparatory to the rule of the anti-Christ. The world is watching in awe. Meanwhile, the enemy is gaining ground every bit of the way. As it is, preachers have with great effort through the Holy Spirit brought many to conviction in Christ Jesus. Nonetheless, the bulk of these converts still relate with and romance the world such that one is not able to tell their being separated from the world. This position invigorates the enemy the more in his enterprise. Yet, those born of the Spirit ought not to yield to the desires of the flesh anymore. The failing point is in just preaching to convict of sin without proper follow-up machineries in prayers and visitation. When they are not visited, they have no one to emulate. When they are not prayed for, there is no watering the seed that had been sown in them to germinate. The effect is vulnerability in the hands of the enemy.

The believer is mainly the scripture that the heathen has opportunity to read. The world has gone far into deception that there is no attraction to reading the Bible anywhere anymore. People will rather spend hours watching movies, playing games, surfing the social media or chatting away on their phones. When the word is missing, there is no washing away the filth of the flesh. But, even in that state of decadence and distraction, if only the believers and the converts will shine the light of the gospel, man is wired to recognize the difference between good and evil, and through the good life of the believers, many more would come out of darkness into light. Paul knew this aforetime and therefore prayed it for the believers in Thessalonica. The believers of this day are left on their own in their inexperience to battle with darkness. It is not enough to just invite to Church. The enemy already sowed an evil seed of believing the church gathering is another form of social gathering which can be replicated in their own ways at the club. What do we do in Church? Sing, dance, shout to God and at times break bread. Check the clubs and see if these are not found there and much more that really is evil and seeming freedom.

Take this day to pray for every young believer in Christ that the Lord may beam His light through them and bring healing to the world. You will be praying for yourself doing so.

Pray: Father, restore sanity into our world through your light in Jesus name.
