1 Corinthians 15:1-8
The evidence of the death of the righteous for the sin of sinners, His rising from the dead and never remaining in the grave, is well accounted for and that is the confidence that believers have, to make them acclaim that indeed, salvation has come. That is the Gospel which we preach and some have received. That, even though all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, by the sacrifice of Christ, the Lamb without blemish, there is a reconciliation of man to the father with the effect that man is now amenable to greater glory, which he hitherto fell short of. There is no other sacrifice for sin. If any man refuses to accept that which has been done by Christ, the same will pay with his own blood for his personal sins.
Up until He breathed His last, Jesus was compassionate and giving grace of salvation. He prayed for the forgiveness of them that buffeted Him, and even offered salvation to the thief who asked Him. But there were two thieves that were nailed the same day as the Lord. The one took advantage of his proximity to Jesus and got saved to the knowledge of the other who remained adamant and refused to seize the opportunity. The same scenario is still playing out in the world today. The Gospel is being preached for the salvation of souls; while some believe and get saved, many others remain adamant and continue to wallow in darkness.
The Lord is beckoning today on as many as care to listen. It is by this same Gospel that we preach, which also has been preached from the time of Jesus Christ till now that many have received salvation and are relishing the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living even as some have been saved and have slept awaiting their crowns on the resurrection morning. It is time to wake up from our slumber and embrace the Gospel for it is the instrument through which we are taken out of darkness into God’s marvelous light.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for the Gospel of your kingdom which you drew me to accept early in life. I pray today that by your mercy, you will use the same to draw many more to yourself, in Jesus’ name. I want to be a worthy instrument of yours for the dissemination of the Gospel. Please use me to draw many more souls into reconciliation with you, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. In all we do, please do not let me miss the reward of good stewardship unto you, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
