Resting on God’s Strength!

Focus: 2 Corinthians 12:9 - KJV

9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

All things work together for good for them that love God who are the called according to the purpose of God. So, whatever it is a person of faith goes through, it is expected to end in praise for even if weeping endures for a night, joy comes in the morning. What circumstance has life brought your way that is seeming unpalatable? It is that the Lord may show forth His prowess in and through you. No wonder it is said that the weak should say that I am strong and the poor that I am rich. The reason for this is simple: any time we appear to be able to carry ourselves through in a situation, then, we do not require the help of God. But when we are weak and desire help, then is the help of God strong towards our plight. This, so that the glory of the victory we experience in such situation is directed to God and not necessarily to ourselves.

Paul, an Apostle of Christ was buffeted by the enemy with a thorn in the flesh. The situation did not improve despite his fervent prayers over the same. Was it because God refused to hear him? No, God did hear him, but allowed the situation to remain so that focus of glory would shift from him to God. Hence, to show that he was heard, the Lord told him that His grace was sufficient unto him. It is possible you have also been praying to God regarding your situation but believe that the Lord has not heard you. He surely has heard you. It may be like it happened to Paul, that the Lord seeks to take the glory by Himself so that you don’t go about telling everyone how so great a prayer champion you are or such other personal glorification. Do cheer up knowing that the Lord’s strength is made perfect in your weakness. Submit to Him that He takes all the glory He deserves.

I therefore join my faith with yours to declare that going forward, the Lord strengthens you to overcome that situation to the glory of His name in Jesus name. Every power militating against your wellness are rebuked for your sake now in Jesus name. You will live your life going forward leaning on the strength of the Most-High that never fails and He shall not fail you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Declare it with me: I am strong and I am rich, in the mighty name of Jesus. Have a beautiful day in the strength of the Lord.
