28. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29. And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. 30. I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Daniel 12:1-3
Many have been made to believe that on the resurrection morning, only Christians shall be raised. The resurrection morning, on the contrary is an allcomers event. Everyone shall rise again, but then, there shall be a separation. Those whose names are found in the Book shall be separated unto life eternal, and those who did evil in their lifetime, of course whose names are missing in the Book shall be separated unto damnation. It is important to note that some may have their names initially written, but eventually missing. They will suffer the fate of the evildoers. For it is only those who endure to the end that shall be saved.
The story of the rich man and Lazarus form a vivid illustration here. Both had died; and both had risen. But one rose to life while the other rose to damnation. There was a great divide between the two. Even though the one could see the other, they could not reach one another. So will the torment of those whose names are not found in the Book be in that day of reckoning. Like some are assuming once they die, it is the end: it is either they rise with Christ or are abandoned in the grave. It is not true. It is never so. Everyone will give an account of his actions.
The Lord is saying to us that we need to renew our minds so that we only do things that will keep our names duly retained in the Book; and if it has not yet been written, that it may first be written, and then retained. That retention is only for they that endure persecution to the end. And, those who spread the Gospel of light have an assurance of glowing in the resurrection. Let us therefore, work out our salvation with fear and trembling, so that we do not miss out on life at the resurrection morning.
Please pray:
Father, I thank you for making me have a knowledge of you through the Gospel of your truth. Whatever I do, please do not let me miss life, in Jesus’ name. Let my name become indelible in the Book of life, in Jesus’ name. Let not my efforts in your Spirit be in vain, dear Lord, in Jesus’ name. Let your name be glorified in my life to the very end, in Jesus’ name.
Please share with others. God bless you.
