Focus: Matthew 16:27 - KJV

27. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

Matthew 16:24-27

As far as the Kingdom of God is concerned, nothing goes for nothing. Everyone is to reap the fruit of his doing. It is possible that some people are living large on earth claiming to be of the Lord, assuming because they appear affluent God is on their side and so they go about misbehaving by doing things Christ will never approve. One wonders if they have forgotten the story of Lazarus and the rich man told by Christ Himself. When both actors packed it up on earth, they arrived at different destinations meet for their respective work: Lazarus in the bosom of Abraham or Paradise in a manner of speaking; and the rich man on the other side of the gulf in trauma. Such treatments still await current actors someday. So, it is never a waste of time to do things that adds value to kingdom matters on earth. No matter what we do, there is a reward waiting.

Incidentally, it is the One who went through immense suffering so that we may live and live abundantly that will dole out the rewards for the works in the end. Point is, He knows when what you did was deliberate wickedness and when it is not. When it is deliberate kindness, it is done in love and therefore will draw rewards in love. When it is otherwise, the rewards also may not be so palatable. This is because the One to distribute the rewards also passed through this plane and understands what we may have passed through and felt. It is therefore instructive that while there is still time, we adjust our works so that our rewards may be in kindness. What works are you building on what the Lord had done? Are you building good stuff on it or bad or are you practically pulling down what the Lord and others have built? Turn around today and you may still receive good rewards.

SOLUTION: Do only works that are applaudable by the Master. Stop doing things that He frowns at. Look to Him for help where needed.

May the Lord aid us in all our works that every issue of darkness may be banished therefrom in Jesus name. May the power of the Most High guide us in all our doings so that we may be pleasing unto God in all we do in Jesus name. Shine the light.
